Ferrari have unveiled a special Michael Schumacher inspired livery for their home Grand Prix at Monza, paying tribute to one of the greatest drivers in the history of the Scuderia.

Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton will race the specially designed Ferrari SF 26 at this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix, with the look taking inspiration from Schumacher’s first Ferrari car, the F310, which he drove after joining the team in 1996.

The tribute comes 30 years after Schumacher began his legendary journey with Ferrari. The German went on to win five consecutive World Championships with the team and became the most successful driver in Ferrari’s Formula 1 history.

The special design brings together elements inspired by Schumacher’s iconic Ferrari era, while also featuring details that celebrate his seven World Championships. Ferrari have also prepared special race suits for Leclerc and Hamilton as part of the tribute.

Monza holds a special place in Schumacher’s history with Ferrari. The seven time World Champion claimed five victories at the Italian circuit during his career, including memorable wins in front of the passionate Tifosi.

The weekend will be particularly special for Hamilton, who shares Schumacher’s record of seven World Championships and is preparing to race at Ferrari’s home Grand Prix in the famous red colours for another season.

Ferrari will now hope that the special Schumacher inspired livery can bring more than just memories when the team takes to the track in front of the Tifosi.
