Club WAMCO have been crowned champions of the Maradhoo Street Challenge 2026 after defeating Crows FC in a dramatic penalty shootout following a thrilling 1-1 draw in the final.
The championship decider went all the way to penalties after neither side could separate themselves during regular time. Club WAMCO eventually held their nerve to win the shootout 2-1 and lift the Maradhoo Street Challenge trophy.
Ali Shanoon of Club WAMCO was named Player of the Match for his outstanding performance in the final.
Crows FC had booked their place in the final after defeating Club Lothari 2-1 in the first semi-final, while Club WAMCO defeated Lona SC 2-0 in the second semi-final to secure their place in the championship match.
The 2026 edition of the Maradhoo Street Challenge was organised by Maradhoo United Sports Club and was held from 20 to 27 August 2026. The tournament featured 16 teams, divided into four groups of three teams each, with the top two teams from every group advancing to the quarter-finals.
The tournament has established itself as one of the country's biggest street soccer competitions, bringing together teams and players from across the Maldives for a highly competitive week of football.
King of the Street 2026
The ultimate individual honour of the tournament went to Hassan Irufan of Club WAMCO, who was named King of the Street 2026 following an outstanding campaign.
Saman Zahir, also of Club WAMCO, was awarded Best Coach of the Tournament for guiding his team to the championship.
Top Four Players
Four players stood out throughout the competition and were recognised among the elite performers of the tournament:
- Mohamed Muzzanmil – Club WAMCO
- Shaash Shareef – Crows FC
- Ismail Muneez – Crows FC
- Hassan Irufan – Club WAMCO
The Top Scorer award went to Zimaam Zahir of Club SC for his goalscoring exploits throughout the tournament.
Meanwhile, Ismail Eethan Imran of Habeys N.G. was named the Promising Player of Maradhoo Street Challenge 2026, recognising his impressive potential and performances during the competition.
With Club WAMCO lifting the trophy and several of their players claiming major individual honours, the Maradhoo Street Challenge 2026 ends with a memorable celebration for the champions.
