JW Marriott booked their place in the semi-finals of the Resort League 2026 South Malé Zone after defeating Group C winners The Marina 2–1 in Quarter-Final 3.

JW Marriott entered the knockout stage after finishing third in Group B. They secured their quarter-final place by defeating Waldorf, who finished second in Group A, in the playoff match.

The Marina, meanwhile, qualified directly for the quarter-finals as Group C winners, finishing level on four points with Maadhoo but taking top spot through the tournament's disciplinary points system.

Marriott made a flying start to the quarter-final, with Hussain Munaaz opening the scoring in the 5th minute. Just a minute later, Mohamed Iufaf Abdulla doubled Marriott's advantage to make it 2–0.

The first half ended with JW Marriott holding a two-goal lead.

The Marina responded with a much stronger performance after the break, turning the second half into an evenly contested battle. However, they had to wait until second-half stoppage time to find a breakthrough, with Nooh Ibrahim pulling one back.

Despite the late pressure from The Marina, JW Marriott held on to secure a 2–1 victory and complete their journey from the playoff round to the semi-finals.

Ahmed Fazal of JW Marriott was named Player of the Match for his impressive performance.

JW Marriott's run has now taken them from third place in Group B, through the playoff round, and into the semi-finals, while The Marina's impressive campaign as Group C winners comes to an end at the quarter-final stage.
