Hard Rock produced another dominant performance to defeat Maadhoo 5-1 in the first semi-final of the Resort League 2026 South Malé Zone and book their place in the final.

Hard Rock took control of the match from the opening stages and went into halftime with a commanding 3-0 lead.

Hussain Affash was at the heart of Hard Rock’s attacking display, scoring twice during the match. Ahmed Masheedh and Ahmed Bashsham also found the net for Hard Rock, while the fifth goal came through an own goal by Maadhoo’s Mohamed Azzaam.

Maadhoo continued to fight until the final stages and eventually pulled one goal back at the end of the second half through Ismail Madheeh, but it was not enough to spark a comeback as Hard Rock secured a convincing 5-1 victory.

Affash was rewarded for his outstanding performance by being named Player of the Match.

Hard Rock had earlier reached the semi-finals with a 3-1 quarter-final victory over Anantara, while Maadhoo booked their semi-final place after an impressive 8-2 win over Velassaru.

With this victory, Hard Rock become the first team to reach the Resort League South Malé Zone final, while Maadhoo's impressive campaign comes to an end at the semi-final stage.

The Resort League South Malé Zone, hosted by Sun Siyam Olhuveli, features 12 teams competing across four groups, with the tournament running from 20 August to 3 September 2026.
