North Malé Zone: Hilton secured the final quarter-final spot from Group D after defeating Huvafen Fushi 5–2 in the Group D playoff of the Resort League 2026.

Hilton finished second in Group D with three points after the group stage, while Huvafen Fushi finished third after suffering defeats in both of their group matches. Hilton had previously beaten Huvafen Fushi 8–1 during the group stage.

Huvafen Fushi made a bright start to the playoff, taking the lead in the 8th minute through Sajid Ibrahim.

Hilton responded strongly, with Ali Saam scoring the equaliser before Abdul Raheem Aboobakuru put Hilton ahead four minutes later. Hilton went into half-time with a 2–1 lead.

Saam continued to make the difference after the break, scoring his second goal in the 22nd minute to extend Hilton's advantage.

Four minutes later, Saam completed his hat-trick to put Hilton 4–1 ahead.

Huvafen Fushi pulled a goal back in the 30th minute through Abdulla Shaheen, but Hilton quickly restored their three-goal advantage when Ahmed Ashham scored their fifth goal two minutes later.

Hilton held on for a 5–2 victory, with Ali Saam earning the Player of the Match award after his hat-trick.

The playoff victory confirms Hilton's place in the quarter-finals, while Huvafen Fushi end their Resort League campaign without a win.

The Resort League 2026, hosted by Bandos Maldives, is being held from 11 to 28 September 2026 with 15 teams competing across four groups. The top two teams from Groups A, B and C advance, while group winners qualify directly for the quarter-finals. In Group D, the second- and third-placed teams contest a playoff for the remaining quarter-final spot.
