Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced the recipients of its annual ‘Bank Fund 2025’, an initiative aimed at empowering NGOs and driving sustainable development projects across the Maldives.
The five winning organizations and their projects are:
- Diabetes Society of Maldives: Establishing a clinic in Hulhumalé to enhance accessible, community-based healthcare services focusing on diabetes prevention, early detection, and management.
- United Islamic Society: Developing a modern multi-media studio at Dhaalu Atoll Education Centre to improve students’ digital media skills and strengthen the school’s Media Club.
- Foundation for Eydhafushi Youth Linkage (FEYLI): Setting up two integrated labs at Baa Atoll Education Centre to deliver vocational and creative skills training.
- Maldives Nurses Association: Launching sustainable, community-based mental health support services in Hulhumalé Phase 2, offering outreach and rehabilitation for individuals with severe mental illnesses.
- Tiny Hearts of Maldives: Creating a national digital resource hub focused on heart health and physical wellbeing.
Each winning project will receive MVR 200,000 in funding. Through the annual Bank Fund initiative, BML continues to empower local communities and contribute to building a sustainable future for the Maldives.
