Summer Island opened their Resort League North Malé Zone Group A campaign with a 3-1 victory over Baros.

Summer Island made a quick start, with Khalid finding the net in the 5th minute to give his side the early lead.

Baros responded in the 15th minute, as Lawshan scored the equaliser to bring the match level at 1-1. Neither side could find another goal before the break.

Summer Island regained the advantage in the 24th minute of the second half, with Zimam scoring to make it 2-1.

They then added a third in the 31st minute, as Lufshaan Moosa extended Summer Island’s lead and sealed the 3-1 victory. Lufshaan was subsequently named Man of the Match for his performance.

The Resort League North Malé Zone is scheduled from 11 to 29 September 2026 and is hosted by Bandos Maldives. The tournament features 15 teams divided into four groups.

The top two teams from Groups A, B and C will qualify for the knockout stage, with each group winner advancing directly to the quarter-finals. In Group D, the second- and third-placed teams will play a playoff for the remaining quarter-final spot.
