Her Excellency Mrs. Ishigami Rumiko, Ambassador of Japan to the Maldives, paid a courtesy call on the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) of the Maldives to discuss ongoing cooperation under the Japan Grant Aid Project, review recent institutional developments, and explore new avenues for collaboration in the fight against corruption.

During the meeting, Ambassador Ishigami and senior ACC officials exchanged views on enhancing capacity-building initiatives, reinforcing institutional frameworks, and fostering mutual learning between the two countries. The discussions focused on further advancing transparency, accountability, and integrity within public institutions.

The ACC expressed sincere gratitude for Japan’s longstanding support, particularly in technical assistance and institutional strengthening through the Japan Grant Aid framework. The Commission reaffirmed its dedication to deepening bilateral ties and continuing its efforts to combat corruption with robust international partnerships.
