JW Marriott secured their place in the Resort League South Malé Zone quarter-finals after defeating Waldorf Astoria 1–0 in the first playoff match.

The match remained goalless throughout the first half, with both sides unable to find the breakthrough despite creating opportunities.

The decisive moment came in the 25th minute of the second half, when Hussain Munaaz scored the only goal of the match to put JW Marriott ahead.

Waldorf pushed for an equaliser in the closing stages, but JW Marriott held firm to secure a narrow victory and progress to the quarter-finals.

Mohamed Sifaz of JW Marriott was named the Player of the Match for his impressive performance.

JW Marriott entered the playoff after finishing third in Group B with one point from two matches, while Waldorf Astoria finished second in Group A with three points from two matches.

With the 1–0 victory, JW Marriott continue their Resort League campaign in the quarter-finals, while Waldorf Astoria’s journey in the South Malé Zone competition comes to an end.
