Minister of Foreign Affairs Khaleel Concludes Official Visit to UAE

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, successfully concluded his official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) today. The visit, undertaken at the invitation of His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, marks a significant step forward in the enduring and robust relationship between the two nations.
During the visit, Minister Dr. Khaleel held high-level discussions with His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, focusing on enhancing bilateral ties and identifying new areas for collaboration. The discussions emphasized a shared commitment to advancing mutual interests for the benefit of both countries.
The Minister also engaged with senior UAE officials to explore potential opportunities in key sectors, including:
- Tourism
- Fisheries
- Renewable energy
- Connectivity
- Infrastructure development
In addition, Dr. Khaleel met with prominent UAE investors, reaffirming the Maldives’ dedication to establishing strategic partnerships with UAE-based businesses.
