North Malé Zone: Baros secured their place in the quarter-finals of the Resort League 2026 after producing a dominant 5–0 victory over Taj Coral in Group A.

Baros went into their final group match needing a positive result to strengthen their qualification hopes, while Taj Coral were already facing elimination after suffering two consecutive defeats.

Baros took a 1–0 lead into half-time before adding four more goals in the second half to complete a convincing 5–0 victory.

Mohamed Nazeeh led the scoring for Baros with a brace, while Mohamed Rahif, Mohamed Jailam Adam and Haizoom Ahmed Najeeb each scored once.

Nazeeh was named Player of the Match following his two-goal performance.

The victory takes Baros to the top of Group A after three matches and confirms their place in the quarter-finals. Taj Coral, meanwhile, end their campaign at the bottom of the group after suffering three consecutive defeats.

Ritz-Carlton Awarded Win After Kurumba Forfeit

In the second match of the day, Ritz-Carlton were awarded a 3–0 victory over Kurumba after Kurumba failed to show up for the fixture, in accordance with the tournament rules.

Both teams entered the match without a chance of qualifying for the quarter-finals, as Bandos and Oaga had already secured the two qualification spots from Group B.

Following the awarded result, Ritz-Carlton finished third in Group B with three points from three matches, while Kurumba ended the group stage at the bottom with zero points.

The Resort League 2026, hosted by Bandos Maldives, is scheduled from 11 to 28 September 2026, with 15 teams competing across four groups. The top two teams from Groups A, B and C advance, with group winners qualifying directly for the quarter-finals. In Group D, the second- and third-placed teams play a playoff for the remaining quarter-final spot.
