Messi, Kane and Ronaldo
Harry Kane has set his sights on a third European Golden Boot this season, a feat previously achieved only by Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Bayern Munich and England striker reflected on the significance of potentially joining the two football icons in an exclusive group, praising their extraordinary dominance over an entire generation.
Kane added that simply being mentioned alongside the pair is already something special for him.
Kane has already won the European Golden Shoe twice, both with Bayern Munich. He finished the 2025/26 Bundesliga season with 36 goals, while his total across club and international football reached an impressive 73 goals.
The 33-year-old has made it clear that individual awards are not his only motivation, but another Golden Boot remains an important target as he looks to continue producing goals for Bayern.
“Every time I win one, I want another, and then another,” Kane said, outlining his ambition for the new season.
If Kane finishes this season as Europe's leading domestic-league scorer again, he would become only the third player to win the European Golden Shoe three times, joining Messi and Ronaldo in an exclusive record.
