Maldives has reached another proud milestone in volleyball, with Ms. Aidha Abdul Hakeem making history as the first Maldivian woman to officiate as an international beach volleyball referee.

An Asian International Referee Candidate, Aidha Abdul Hakeem served as the 1st Referee at the CAVA Beach Volleyball Tour – Bhutan Open 2026, marking a significant achievement for Maldivian volleyball on the international stage.
