Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) has opened applications for its 13th medical internship intake, providing fresh MBBS graduates the long-awaited opportunity to enter active clinical practice in hospital wards. Interns under the new civil service pay framework will receive a monthly allowance of MVR 10,000.
According to the official announcement, doctors interested in joining the program must submit their applications by the 24th of this month. Application submission is being processed at the National Healthcare Academy located inside Dharumavantha Hospital.
Forms are accepted exclusively between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM on official working days.
While IGMH typically allocates 15 seats per cohort, the capacity has been expanded to 24 seats for this intake.

In addition to IGMH, medical internships in the public sector are offered at Hulhumalé Hospital and Addu Equatorial Hospital. Also some private hospitals are offering internship program.
