The "Design and Build of AA. Feridhoo Harbour Upgrade" project is progressing steadily, with concrete work for the quay wall capping now underway. As of now, the project has achieved 32% completion.

Awarded to MTCC on January 16, 2023, for MVR 50,805,698.04, the project mobilized its operations on August 15, 2023. The scope of the project includes dredging of the harbour basin and channel, maintenance dredging of the old harbour, and the construction of essential infrastructure such as a breakwater, revetment, quay wall, pavement, and harbour lights.

The upgrading of AA. Feridhoo Harbour is expected to significantly enhance the harbor's capacity and safety, improving the infrastructure of the island and benefiting the local community. With ongoing progress in the quay wall capping, the project is on track to meet its scheduled objectives.
