In the primary held this Saturday to nominate PPM-PNC candidates for the upcoming parliamentary elections, several former members of parliament secured parliamentary tickets.

The voting for the government coalition's parliamentary primary took place from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday in which

- Number of candidates: 283

- Number of constituencies: 73

- Eligible voters: 71,597

As of now, confirmed results from various polling booths have been announced. Noteworthy among the former MPs who obtained tickets are:

- Ibrahim Didi for Feydhoo South

- Ahmed Nazim for Dhiggaru

- Mohammed Ismail for Villimale

- Asma Rasheed for Maafannu Central

- Abdul Latif Mohammed for Dhidhoo

- Mohamed Falaah for Inguraidhoo

- Abdullah Rifau for Maafannu South

- Ahmed Naseem for Thulusdhoo

Additionally, thirteen PPM-PNC candidates received tickets to compete in the parliamentary elections without a primary, as there were no other candidates contesting the respective constituencies.
