The R. Kinolhas Shore Protection Project is advancing smoothly, with overall progress reaching 76%. The project, managed by MTCC, is currently focused on ongoing reclamation and compaction operations, which have achieved 75% completion.
The scope of the project includes extensive reclamation operations totaling 19,789 cubic meters, as well as the construction of a 650-meter geobag revetment. The project's total value is MVR 11.4 million, highlighting its significance in safeguarding the shoreline.
MTCC reports that reclamation and compaction activities are progressing as planned, contributing to the overall success of the project. The completion of the geobag revetment will further enhance coastal protection, ensuring long-term resilience against erosion and other environmental challenges.
