Oaga moved to the top of Resort League 2026 North Male Zone Group B after a thrilling 3–2 victory over Ritz-Carlton, with Mohamed Irash scoring a hat-trick.

Oaga started brightly and took the lead in the 7th minute through Irash. However, Ritz-Carlton responded just three minutes later, with Mohamed Shaahy finding the equaliser to send the teams into half-time level at 1–1.

Ritz-Carlton completed their comeback early in the second half when Jalwaan Jaufar scored to put his side 2–1 ahead.

Oaga quickly responded, with Irash scoring his second goal just two minutes later to make it 2–2.

The match remained tightly contested before Irash completed his hat-trick in the 37th minute of the second half, restoring Oaga's lead and securing a 3–2 victory.

Irash's outstanding performance earned him the Player of the Match award.

Oaga had previously defeated Kurumba 3–1 in their opening Group B match, while Ritz-Carlton suffered a 3–0 defeat to Bandos.

Following the result, Oaga sit top of Group B with six points from two matches, while Ritz-Carlton remain at the bottom after suffering their second consecutive defeat.

The Resort League 2026, hosted by Bandos Maldives, is being held from 11 to 28 September with 15 teams competing across four groups. The top two teams from Groups A, B and C will advance, with group winners progressing directly to the quarter-finals. In Group D, the second- and third-placed teams will play a playoff for the remaining quarter-final spot.
