Baros secured a crucial 3–2 victory over Kuda Huraa in the Resort League 2026 North Male Zone Group A, earning their first points of the tournament.

Kuda Huraa made a perfect start when Mohamed Sivaaz Abdulla put his side ahead in the first minute. Baros responded strongly, with Abdulla Lawsan equalising in the ninth minute before Hassan Saleem completed the turnaround in the 18th minute to give Baros a 2–1 half-time lead.

Baros extended their advantage in the 24th minute when Aboobakuru Rashid found the net. However, Kuda Huraa quickly reduced the deficit as Imad Saleem scored just two minutes later.

Despite Kuda Huraa's efforts to find a late equaliser, Baros held on for a 3–2 win.

Abdulla Lawsan was named Player of the Match after scoring the equaliser and playing a key role in Baros' comeback victory.

Kuda Huraa had previously defeated Taj Coral 4–2 in their opening match, while Baros began their campaign with a 3–1 defeat to Summer Island.

Following the result, both teams have three points from two matches. Kuda Huraa currently sit second in Group A with a superior goal difference, while Baros are in third place.

The Resort League 2026, hosted by Bandos Maldives, is being held from 11 to 28 September with 15 teams competing across four groups. The top two teams from Groups A, B and C will advance, while group winners will progress directly to the quarter-finals. In Group D, the second- and third-placed teams will contest a playoff for the remaining quarter-final spot.
