Oaga made a winning start to their Resort League 2026 North Malé Zone campaign, defeating Kurumba 3-1 in their Group B opener at Bandos Maldives.

Oaga made a quick start, with Hussain Maishan opening the scoring in the 5th minute. Ahmed Aiman doubled Oaga’s advantage in the 11th minute, giving his side a 2-0 lead at halftime.

Oaga continued their strong performance after the break, with Hussain Maishan scoring his second goal at the beginning of the second half to make it 3-0.

Kurumba managed to pull one goal back four minutes later through Zafaan Hassan, but Oaga held on to secure a 3-1 victory.

Hussain Maishan was rewarded for his impressive performance by being named Player of the Match.

The Resort League 2026 North Malé Zone is scheduled to run from 11 to 28 September 2026, hosted by Bandos Maldives.

A total of 15 teams are competing across four groups. The top two teams from Groups A, B and C will advance, with the group winners directly qualifying for the quarter-finals. Meanwhile, the second- and third-placed teams from Group D will contest a playoff for the remaining quarter-final spot.

Oaga’s opening victory gives them an early advantage in Group B as they begin their campaign on a positive note.
