Maldives Police Service has launched an investigation into the sudden death of a 43-year-old man who was declared dead upon arrival at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) on Monday morning.

According to an official statement, the man was found unresponsive in a room at his residence and was transported to the hospital at approximately 10:10 a.m. Medical personnel at IGMH confirmed his death shortly after arrival.

Police noted that no visible external injuries were observed on the body. However, the circumstances surrounding the death remain unclear, and investigators are actively working to establish the cause and timeline of events.

Authorities have not ruled out the possibility of foul play, and inquiries are ongoing to determine whether the death involved suspicious elements.
