The Government of Maldives has condemned the Terrorist attack on a Russian concert mall.

Maldivian Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer sent a condolence message to Russian Foreign Minister Sergey V Lavrov today condemning the attack on behalf of the Government of Maldives.

In the message, Minister Zameer said the Government of Maldives strongly condemns the terrorist attack on a concert mall near Moscow, which claimed innocent lives and injured many others.

On behalf of the government, the people and on his own behalf, the Minister conveyed his sympathies to the families of the victims and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.

The attack on Moscow's Crocus City Hall was carried out late last night.

The Islamic State group claimed responsibility for the attack, which was carried out using automatic weapons.

It has now been confirmed that more than 130 people were killed in the attack.
