North Malé Zone: Baros booked their place in the semi-finals of the Resort League 2026 after edging Joy Island 1–0 in the third quarter-final.

The only goal of the match came in the 7th minute of the first half, with Mohamed Nazeeh finding the back of the net to give Baros an early advantage.

Baros went into the break leading 1–0.

Joy Island pushed for an equaliser after the restart, while both teams created several decent chances in a closely contested second half. However, neither side managed to convert their opportunities as Baros held on until the final whistle to secure a 1–0 victory.

Hassan Saleem (#21) of Baros was named Man of the Match for his performance.

Baros entered the quarter-final as Group A winners, having won all three of their group matches to finish with nine points.

Joy Island qualified as Group C winners, finishing the group stage with seven points from three matches, including two wins and one draw.

The victory sends Baros through to the semi-finals, while Joy Island's campaign comes to an end in the quarter-finals.

The Resort League 2026, hosted by Bandos Maldives, is scheduled from 11 to 28 September 2026, with 15 teams competing across four groups. The top two teams from Groups A, B and C qualify for the knockout stage, with group winners advancing directly to the quarter-finals. In Group D, the second- and third-placed teams contest a playoff for the remaining quarter-final spot.
