North Malé Zone: Sangeli advanced to the semi-finals of the Resort League 2026 after defeating Summer Island 5–2 in the first quarter-final at the North Malé Zone.

Sangeli made a strong start and took a 3–1 lead into half-time. They continued their attacking performance after the break, adding two more goals, while Summer Island managed one further goal in the second half.

Abdulla Zameen led Sangeli's attack with two goals, while Mohamed Sirfaan and Hussain Azmathu each scored once. Sangeli's fifth goal came through an own goal by Summer Island's Khalid Rasheed.

For Summer Island, Mohamed Adam and Mohamed Azham each found the net once.

Abdulla Zameen of Sangeli was named Player of the Match after his two-goal performance.

Summer Island reached the quarter-finals as Group A winners with seven points from three matches, while Sangeli qualified as Group C runners-up with six points from three matches.

The Resort League 2026, hosted by Bandos Maldives, is being held from 11 to 28 September 2026, with 15 teams competing across four groups. The top two teams from Groups A, B and C qualify for the knockout stage, with group winners advancing directly to the quarter-finals. In Group D, the second- and third-placed teams contest a playoff for the remaining quarter-final spot.
