Minister Rafiu Opens Dhekunu Ashi Regional NGO Forum in Meedhoo

Minister of Youth Empowerment, Sports and Fitness Abdulla Rafiu inaugurated the Dhekunu Ashi Regional NGO Forum in Meedhoo today, bringing together representatives from across the southern atolls to strengthen cooperation and support regional development.
The forum brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including non-governmental organisations (NGOs), community leaders, youth representatives, entrepreneurs and development partners.
The gathering provides a platform for participants to share ideas, identify regional challenges and explore opportunities for stronger collaboration between civil society, communities, young people and other development partners.
The forum also highlights the importance of empowering local organisations and communities to play a greater role in shaping development initiatives across the southern atolls.
Through greater cooperation and coordination among regional stakeholders, the Dhekunu Ashi Regional NGO Forum aims to encourage new partnerships and support sustainable development initiatives that can benefit communities across the region.
The inauguration of the forum in Meedhoo marks an important step towards creating stronger links between NGOs, communities, youth and the private sector while working towards shared regional development goals.
