Resort league: Conrad Keep Pace with MELIA

Conrad Maldives Rangali Island maintained their perfect start to the Resort League 2026 Ari Zone with a convincing 4-0 victory over W Maldives, securing their second consecutive win of the tournament.

The result also handed W Maldives their second defeat in as many matches, leaving them searching for their first points of the campaign.

Despite both teams creating opportunities, the first half ended goalless as neither side managed to break the deadlock.

Conrad eventually found the breakthrough in the 29th minute of the second half when Mohamed Hajid opened the scoring to give his side a deserved lead.

Just three minutes later, Ahmed Shaaheen doubled Conrad's advantage, putting the match firmly in their control.

Conrad continued to press forward and were rewarded again four minutes later when Hajid scored his second goal of the match to make it 3-0.

The scoring was completed in the 39th minute of the second half when Abdulla Azeem added Conrad's fourth goal to seal an emphatic victory.

For his influential performance throughout the match, Ahmed Shaaheen was named Player of the Match.

The victory sees Conrad move level on points with table leaders MELIA. Both teams have collected six points from two matches, but MELIA remain top of the standings thanks to a superior goal difference.

After two rounds of matches, MELIA have a goal difference of +10, while Conrad sit second with a goal difference of +7.

With both teams enjoying unbeaten starts, the race for top spot in the Ari Zone is already beginning to take shape as the competition progresses.
