The wait is over. The 14th edition of the Resort League is set to kick off from 1 June at Angsana Velavaru, where four teams will battle for the Dhaalu Zone title and a place in the prestigious Resort Super League.
Defending champions Angsana Velavaru enter the tournament as favourites after winning the Dhaalu Zone title in each of the last two editions. Playing on home soil, Velavaru will be aiming to continue their dominance and secure a third consecutive championship.
Joining the hosts in this year's competition are:
- Angsana Velavaru
- Niyama Private Islands Maldives
- St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort
- Baglioni Maldives
The tournament will be played in a league format, with all four teams facing each other during the group stage. The team finishing at the top of the standings will advance directly to the final.
Meanwhile, the second and third-placed teams will meet in a semi-final playoff to determine the second finalist. The fourth-placed team will be eliminated from the competition.
With a direct route to the final on offer, every match will carry significant importance as teams fight for valuable points and a chance to compete for the championship.
Angsana Velavaru will be determined to defend their title, but strong challenges are expected from Niyama Private Islands Maldives, St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort, and Baglioni Maldives, all eager to claim the Dhaalu Zone crown and book their place in the Resort Super League.
As the countdown reaches its end, excitement is building for another thrilling chapter in Resort League history.
Who will take the first step toward glory?
