Festive Spirit: MACL Joins Nationwide Eid Haveeru 1447 Celebrations

Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has announced its official participation in “Eid Haveeru 1447,” a nationwide Eid al-Adha celebration initiative launched under the leadership of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. The corporate effort aims to champion community spirit, togetherness, and national unity over the major holiday season.

The multi-agency “Eid Haveeru 1447” festive blocks are scheduled to take place at the Hulhumalé Central Park from 27 to 29 May 2026. Activities will run daily from 1600hrs to 1800hrs, serving up a wide selection of family-friendly interactive spaces and deep cultural experiences for the public.

To enrich the holiday ambiance, MACL is launching a specially designed activity zone inspired by Maldivian history, local creativity, and classic festive traditions. The grounds will treat attendees to classic local entertainment pieces, including traditional Koadi games and mythical Maali processions moving alongside high-energy Bodu Beru drum ensembles, providing a multi-generational cultural experience.

Younger families visiting the MACL destination will be welcomed by appearances from popular children’s mascots inspired by globally recognized characters across the three-day event. Organizers are also constructing a custom treehouse decorated with traditional hand-woven palm fronds for kids to interact with and explore.

The compound will additionally host a dynamic collection of family attractions, including an interactive Wrecking Ball challenge, large Wipeout inflatable obstacle courses, an immersive Bubble House, a dedicated Henna art station, and specialized face painting booths. Adding to the overall excitement, a renowned Maldivian footballer is also officially scheduled to make a high-profile guest appearance at the zone during the three-day festival.

MACL's extensive festival stall will be stationed near the eastern entrance of Hulhumalé Central Park. Management warmly invites families and the general public to step in and experience Eid al-Adha in a joyful, secure, and family-oriented environment, reaffirming the company's continuous corporate commitment to fueling impactful national community initiatives.
