President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has extended warm greetings and heartfelt well wishes to the citizens of the Maldives and the wider Muslim Ummah on the holy occasion of the Day of Arafah, 1447 AH.

In a special message shared on the social media platform X, the President opened his address with the sacred words of the Talbiyah. He described the day as a monumental occasion filled with immense divine blessings, good fortune, success, spiritual acceptance, and forgiveness.

First Lady Prays for Hajj Pilgrims

First Lady Sajidha Mohamed also took to social media to share an auspicious message celebrating the holy day.

In her statement, the First Lady extended her sincere prayers specifically for the Maldivian Hajj pilgrims currently gathered in the holy lands, wishing them a Hajj Mabroor (an accepted Hajj). She further prayed for the boundless blessings, compassion, and peace of this sacred occasion to be bestowed upon all Maldivians and the entire global Muslim Ummah.

The Day of Arafah marks the emotional and spiritual climax of the annual Islamic Hajj pilgrimage, observed on the 9th day of Dhul Hijjah, just a day before the celebration of Eid Al Adha.
