President Launches Dedicated Health Insurance Scheme for Maldivian Athletes

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has announced the official launch of a specialised health insurance scheme for athletes, aimed at providing medical coverage for sports-related injuries.
The President shared the announcement on his official X account, stating that the scheme will cover 385 athletes and officials representing 18 national sports associations across the Maldives.
He noted that the insurance will ensure medical security for athletes, covering treatment for injuries sustained during domestic competitions, overseas tournaments, and training programmes.
