Trio Remanded After Attempted Fence Breach and Assault at Fuvahmulah Airport

Authorities have detained three individuals in connection with an incident at Fuvahmulah City Airport involving an attempt to climb over the airport fence and assault a security guard.
According to the Maldives Police Service, the incident occurred around 4:05 a.m. on Sunday, when an airport security guard was attacked after trying to stop several individuals who were attempting to scale the airport perimeter fence.
Police confirmed that three suspects were arrested in connection with the case. They were subsequently produced before the court, which ordered a 15-day remand in custody pending further investigation.
The Maldives Police Service stated that investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the attempted breach and assault.
