Soneva Fushi, the renowned barefoot luxury resort in the Maldives, has once again achieved global recognition by ranking No. 8 on The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2024 list. It remains the only resort in the Maldives to make the prestigious Top 50. In addition, Soneva Fushi won the coveted Lost Explorer Best Beach Hotel Award for the second consecutive year, recognizing it as the highest-ranking hotel located within 20 metres of a beach.

The awards were announced during a captivating ceremony held at London’s historic Guildhall, which gathered leading figures from the global travel and hospitality industries. The event celebrated exceptional hotels from six continents, offering a platform to honor the world’s finest hotel experiences that inspire travelers and hoteliers alike.

Soneva Fushi, located in the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, has long been celebrated as the original barefoot luxury resort.
