President Muizzu Vows to Strengthen Road Safety Following Tragic Accident

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has pledged that his administration will take swift action to prevent dangerous driving and enhance road safety across Malé City and the islands.
His remarks came in a social media post following the tragic death of 23-year-old Hassan Samah in an accident on Thursday night.
Expressing his condolences to the family of Hassan Samah, President Muizzu prayed for Almighty Allah (SWT) to grant his soul eternal peace in Jannah.
The President stressed the importance of a collaborative effort from all stakeholders to prevent accidents resulting from negligence and reckless driving. He also announced that he had directed authorities to amend existing laws and regulations to impose stricter penalties on speeding and reckless driving, committing to nationwide enforcement to ensure public safety.
