The Sri Lankan High Commission in Maldives has announced a blood donation campaign aimed at highlighting the close friendship between the people of Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

According to the High Commission, the campaign is being organised in collaboration with Maldives Building Service and STELCO.

The blood donation event is scheduled to take place on Friday, 5 June, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the auditorium located on the fifth floor of STELCO Head Office.

The High Commission has encouraged those interested in participating to register through the QR code or link shared in its official post.

It also called on Sri Lankans living in the Maldives to take part in the initiative, stating that the campaign symbolises the strong ties between the two countries while serving a humanitarian cause.

Sri Lanka and the Maldives this year mark 60 years of diplomatic relations.
