Hon. Abdul Raheem Abdulla, Speaker of the People’s Majlis, has departed on an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from 19 to 24 January 2026, following an invitation extended by the Speaker of the Shura Council.

The official delegation accompanying the Speaker includes Hon. Mohamed Shahid, Member of Parliament for Hulhudhoo Constituency; Hon. Hussain Riza Adam, Member of Parliament for Maafushi Constituency; Hon. Ali Fazad, Member of Parliament for Fuvahmulah Central Constituency; Hon. Azim Abdul Azeez, Member of Parliament for Villingili Constituency; Uz. Fathimath Niusha, Secretary General of the People’s Majlis; Mohamed Rasheed, Deputy Secretary General; Ahmed Nihan Hussain Manik, Chief of Bureau; and Zuyyina Badhree, Director of Foreign Relations.

During the visit, Speaker Abdul Raheem is scheduled to engage in high level meetings aimed at strengthening parliamentary relations and further enhancing cooperation between the Maldives and Saudi Arabia.
