Maldives Meteorological Service issued white alert for heavy rain and thunderderstoms with gusts od 40 mph.

The alert wa issued over central parts of Maldives, in between Raa atoll and Vaavu Atoll, which will expiere tonight 9 PM.

Met office Issued white alert over central and southern part of Maldives earlier today, which expires 6 PM today.

Southern parts of Maldives started experiencing southwest monsoon in th first week of this month. This monsoon will spread over Maldives by the end of this month, said MET office.

In the southwest monsoon, Maldives will be experiencing heavy rain falls and thunderstorms.
