
Shamah
The suspension of Ahmed Shamah Rasheed, CEO and MD of MIFCO, has been extended for another three weeks.
Shamah was first suspended on May 18 after he was accused of corruption. The PCB had said at the time that it was looking into issues related to corporate governance related to Shamah after a complaint was filed with the board and that he was being suspended for a period of 14 days for a thorough inquiry.
The PCB extended shamah's suspension till April 21, 2020 today.Shamah was suspended with salary and perks.
Complaints against Shama to the PCB include major allegations, including giving company jobs to his family members and friends. Pointing out a total of 12 issues, the PCB, in a letter to Shamah, said, "There have been several issues regarding MIFCO and it has been found that there have been violations of corporate governance code and rules and regulations framed by the PCB.
