Junaa’s 22 Goals Fire WAMCO Into Women’s Beach Handball Final

WAMCO have booked their place in the BML One Game Inter-Office Beach Handball Women’s Division final after defeating MTCC 2–0 in a hard-fought semi-final.

WAMCO controlled the opening set, winning 19–12, before surviving a stronger challenge from MTCC in the second set to secure a 21–19 victory and complete the 2–0 win.

Fathimath Junaa was named Player of the Match after producing a superb attacking performance for WAMCO. Junaa scored an impressive 22 goals, while goalkeeper Aina Latheef made nine outstanding saves to help WAMCO secure their place in the final.

MTCC were led by Aminath Ibaa Ibrahim, who scored 14 goals, but her efforts were not enough to overcome a strong WAMCO side.

WAMCO entered the semi-final after defeating BML 2–1 in the quarter-final, while MTCC secured their semi-final spot with a 2–1 victory over HDC.

With another impressive performance, WAMCO now advance to the Women’s Division final, while MTCC’s campaign comes to an end in the semi-final stage.
