HDC and MTCC March Towards Quarter-Finals

The BML One Game Inter-Office Beach Handball Championship – Malé Edition 02 continued with two exciting matches in the men's division as Housing Development Corporation (HDC) and Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) secured convincing straight-set victories to boost their quarter-final hopes.
In Group A, HDC defeated Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) 2-0 in an entertaining contest. HDC claimed the opening set 18-11 before maintaining their dominance to win the second set 18-9 and secure maximum points.
Ahmed Shaaneez was named Player of the Match following an outstanding all-round performance for HDC.
Meanwhile, in Group B, MTCC produced one of the most dominant displays of the tournament, defeating Bank of Maldives (BML) 2-0.
MTCC completely controlled the opening set, shutting out their opponents with an emphatic 11-0 victory. They continued their impressive form in the second set, winning 18-9 to complete the straight-sets triumph.
The Player of the Match award went to Abdulla Zahuwaan Imthiyaaz, whose influential performance helped MTCC secure another important victory.
The 2026 men's Division features 11 teams divided into three groups, with the top two teams from each group, along with the two best third-placed teams, advancing to the quarter-finals as the battle for the championship title continues to gather momentum.
