Women's Beach Handball Delivers Another Exciting Night

The BML One Game Inter-Office Beach Handball Championship – Malé Edition 02 continued with another exciting round of matches in the women's division as Dhiraagu, Immigration, and WAMCO all recorded convincing straight-set victories to strengthen their hopes of reaching the quarter-finals.

In Group C, Dhiraagu defeated Maldives Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC) by 2-0. Dhiraagu controlled the opening set to win 10-6 before maintaining their momentum to take the second set 16-11.

Aiminath Shooza was named Player of the Match after delivering another outstanding performance for Dhiraagu.

In Group D, Immigration produced one of the most dominant performances of the evening, defeating Bank of Maldives (BML) 2-0. Immigration comfortably won the first set 17-7 before sealing the match with a 12-7 victory in the second.

The Player of the Match award went to Aishath Reema, who played a key role in Immigration's impressive victory.

Meanwhile, in Group A, Waste Management Corporation (WAMCO) continued their strong start to the tournament with a convincing 2-0 win over the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Sports and Fitness (MOYSF).

WAMCO dominated throughout the contest, taking the opening set 19-5 before completing the victory with a 15-7 win in the second set.

Aminath Fazla was deservedly named Player of the Match following her influential display.

The 2026 women's division features 16 teams divided into four groups, with the top two teams from each group progressing to the quarter-finals as the battle for the championship title continues to intensify.
