New Generation of Cricket Coaches Ready to Inspire Maldives

The Cricket Board of Maldives (CBM) successfully concluded its Cricket Coaching Course in Malé City, with 12 participants completing the programme aimed at strengthening the country's coaching capacity.

The course, held from 23 April to 3 May, concluded with a closing ceremony attended by Commissioner of Sports Mohamed Tholal as the chief guest.

The programme was delivered by experienced instructors Abdulla Imad Ismail and Ibrahim Ali, who guided participants through both theoretical and practical aspects of cricket coaching, focusing on player development, coaching methodology, and modern training techniques.

Addressing the ceremony, officials highlighted the importance of investing in coach education as part of the long-term development of cricket in the Maldives.

With the successful completion of the course, 12 newly qualified coaches are now better equipped to contribute to the growth of the sport at schools, clubs, and community level, supporting the Cricket Board of Maldives' vision of expanding cricket across the country.
