Resort League:Ahmed Brace Fires Cheval Blanc to First Victory in Noonu Zone

Cheval Blanc claimed their first win of the Resort League 2026 – Noonu Zone with a convincing 2-0 victory over Velaa, thanks to a brilliant two-goal performance from Ahmed.

After opening their campaign with a 2-2 draw against Soneva Jani, Cheval Blanc responded in impressive fashion to collect all three points and strengthen their position in the Noonu Zone standings.

Cheval Blanc made a bright start and broke the deadlock in the 10th minute of the first half, when Ahmed found the back of the net to give his side an early advantage. Velaa searched for an equaliser, but Cheval Blanc remained solid at the back to take a 1-0 lead into the halftime break.

The second half followed a similar pattern, with Cheval Blanc controlling the game. Their dominance was rewarded in the 32nd minute, when Ahmed struck again to double the lead and put the result beyond doubt.

Ahmed's outstanding display earned him the Man of the Match award after scoring both goals in Cheval Blanc's first victory of the tournament.

The result gives Cheval Blanc a major confidence boost as the Noonu Zone competition continues, while Velaa will look to bounce back in their next league fixture.

The Resort League 2026 Noonu Zone features five teams competing in a single league format. The league winners will advance directly to the final, while the second and third-placed teams will contest a playoff semi-final to determine the second finalist.
