MELIA continued their impressive run in the Resort League Ari Zone with a commanding 5-0 victory over Machchafushi, making it three wins from three matches and extending their lead at the top of the standings.

Machchafushi, meanwhile, suffered their third consecutive defeat and remain rooted to the bottom of the table without a point.

MELIA broke the deadlock in the 8th minute of the first half when Ahmed Maisoon found the back of the net. The league leaders doubled their advantage in the final minute before halftime through Usaidh Ali, taking a comfortable 2-0 lead into the break.

Usaidh struck again in the 22nd minute of the second half to make it 3-0. Just three minutes later, Ahmed Maisoon grabbed his second goal of the match, extending MELIA's advantage to four.

Usaidh completed his hat-trick in the 30th minute of the second half, sealing a dominant 5-0 victory for MELIA. His outstanding performance earned him the Player of the Match award.

Following the result, MELIA remain top of the Ari Zone standings with 9 points from three matches. Conrad sit second with 6 points from two matches, while Machchafushi remain at the bottom after losing all three of their opening fixtures.
