Maldives Celebrates 58 Years of Diplomatic Ties with South Korea

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Maldives, His Excellency Dr. Abdulla Khaleel, attended a reception hosted by the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, Her Excellency Miyon Lee, to mark the 58th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between the two nations.
As Chief Guest, Minister Dr. Khaleel delivered remarks highlighting the strong and enduring partnership between the Maldives and South Korea. He reaffirmed the Maldives’ commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and noted decades of cooperation across human resource development, governance, education, technology, and healthcare.
Minister Dr. Khaleel praised the friendship between the two countries, guided by mutual respect, collaboration, and shared aspirations for peace and prosperity. The reception was attended by Cabinet Ministers, senior government officials, and members of the diplomatic community.
