Fuel Vessel Catches Fire in Hulhumalé Lagoon

A fuel transport vessel caught fire today in the Hulhumalé lagoon, prompting a swift response from authorities.
Police received reports of the incident at around 12:55 PM. Firefighters from the MNDF Fire and Rescue Service Hulhumalé Fire Station were deployed to extinguish the blaze.
The fire has now been brought under control. A Bangladeshi crew member on board sustained burns to his hand and is receiving treatment at a hospital.
Police and relevant authorities are continuing investigations into the incident.
