Environment Ministry, Scouts Discuss Special Badge for 5 Million Tree Planting Program

Officials from the Ministry of Tourism and Environment and the Scout Association of Maldives have held discussions on introducing a special 5 Million Tree Planting Badge Program to strengthen youth involvement in environmental conservation.
According to the Ministry, the initiative aims to inspire Scout members to take an active role in the national 5 Million Tree Planting Programme, fostering a spirit of environmental stewardship and sustainability among young people.
During the meeting, participants emphasized the vital role of youth in protecting and restoring the environment. Both parties agreed that the Scouts’ participation in the initiative would help drive positive environmental change across the country, noting that Scout students have consistently supported national programs and community efforts.
