Bank of Maldives Lays Foundation Stone for New Branch in Lh. Hinnavaru

The Bank of Maldives (BML) has officially laid the foundation stone for a new branch in Hinnavaru, Lhaviyani Atoll, marking another step in its efforts to expand nationwide banking access.
The ceremony, held on Monday, was attended by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, members of his cabinet, BML Chairman Ahmed Ali Habeeb, CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef, and senior officials from the bank.
According to BML, the new branch will enhance financial accessibility in Lhaviyani Atoll, which is currently served by a branch in Naifaru and self-service ATMs across all inhabited islands.
BML presently operates 42 branches across 20 atolls, along with 200 self-service banking centres and 258 ATMs nationwide. The bank also provides comprehensive online and mobile banking services, reaffirming its commitment to supporting individuals, businesses, and communities across the Maldives.
