Visit Maldives Corporation (VMC) has successfully showcased the diverse and unique offerings of the Maldives at ITB Asia 2025, Asia’s leading travel trade show, held from October 15–17, 2025 at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.

Representing the Maldives alongside 32 industry professionals from 20 co-exhibiting companies, VMC highlighted the country’s wide range of tourism experiences tailored for the Asian market — from world-class luxury to family-friendly, budget, and adventure travel options.

As one of the most influential B2B travel events in the region, ITB Asia served as a vital platform to strengthen the Maldives’ position as a leading global destination. The participation aimed to expand partnerships, foster new collaborations, and keep the Maldives top-of-mind among travellers from key Asian markets.

The Maldives’ presence was marked by a striking 99 sqm stand designed to reflect the islands’ natural beauty and serenity. The immersive display showcased the country’s signature turquoise lagoons, white-sand beaches, and sustainable tourism initiatives, offering visitors an authentic glimpse into the “Maldives experience.”

Throughout the three-day event, co-exhibitors engaged in productive meetings with travel professionals and visitors, promoting the Maldives’ tourism diversity. The destination’s key themes included sustainability, halal travel, family vacations, solo travel experiences, and honeymoon getaways — positioning the Maldives as a destination that offers something for every traveller.

Visitors to the stand were invited to take part in interactive activities, such as pinning their dream Maldives destination on a map and participating in promotional surveys with exclusive giveaways. VMC also emphasised the country’s visa-free access, strong regional air connectivity, and world-class hospitality infrastructure.

His Excellency Mohamed Luveiz, Maldives High Commissioner to Singapore, visited the stand during the fair and commended Visit Maldives’ efforts in strengthening tourism promotion across the Asia-Pacific region.

According to recent statistics, the Asia-Pacific market accounted for 39.1% of total arrivals to the Maldives as of August 2025, with 477,623 visitors recorded.

Visit Maldives’ participation in ITB Asia 2025 reflects its continued commitment to expanding the Maldives’ reach across Asia, through a mix of integrated B2B and B2C initiatives — including international roadshows, media collaborations, and familiarisation trips.

The event reaffirmed the Maldives’ status as one of the world’s most sought-after travel destinations, combining sustainability, natural beauty, and authentic island experiences to inspire travellers from around the globe.
