BML to Expand ATM Network to All Inhabited Islands of Laamu Atoll this week

The Bank of Maldives (BML) has officially inaugurated ATM services in Laamu Hithadhoo as part of its “Mulhi Raajje ah BML ATM” programme. A groundbreaking ceremony was also held for a new BML branch on the island.
The ceremony was attended by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu, Cabinet Ministers, BML Chairperson Ahmed Ali Habeeb, CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef, and senior officials of the Bank.
As part of this initiative, BML will roll out ATM services across all inhabited islands of Laamu Atoll within the week — including Kunahandhoo, Dhanbidhoo, Maabaidhoo, Mundoo, Isdhoo, and Kalaidhoo — marking a major milestone in expanding financial access nationwide.

With this latest expansion, the Bank of Maldives now operates a robust network of 42 branches across all 20 atolls, 194 Self Service Banking Centres, 252 ATMs, along with comprehensive Agent Banking Services and advanced digital banking solutions — reinforcing its position as the nation’s leading financial institution.
