Two Launches Collide Near Kurumba Resort — One Injured

An accident at sea occurred in the Greater Malé Area tonight when two launches collided near Kurumba Resort around 7:45 p.m., according to the Marine Police.
In a statement posted on their official Facebook page, the Marine Police confirmed that one person was injured in the collision and was transported to Hulhumalé Hospital for treatment. However, no further details have been provided regarding the individual’s condition.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the extent of damage to the vessels involved. A photo shared by the Marine Police shows that one of the launches belongs to Leo Trading Company.
Police officers are currently on the scene investigating the incident.
